| Copies of I.P.E.C. 2002 tests may be downloaded from the I.P.E.C. website. However, tests must be ordered from NDSA for use at NDSA sanctioned events in the U.S.A. and for qualifying purposes. |
| The rules and tests used by riders with disabilities in NDSA sponsored competitions, for NDSA qualifying purposes, and at international competitions are those that are written by I.P.E.C., the International Parlaympic Equestrian Committee. There are a variety of tests for all levels of riders, from Grade I-Walk Only through Grade IV-Walk/Trot/Canter with Lateral Movements. The most commonly used tests are the designated "warm-up" and "championship" tests. Those tests, starting in 2002, are as follows: Grade Ia (walk only) - Tests 8a and 9a Grade Ib (walk and trot) - Tests 8b and 9b Grade II - Tests 25 and 26 Grade III - Tests 35 and 36 Grade IV - Tests 51 and 53 Each grade also has its own musical freestyle test. Please note: * Tests for Grades I, II and III are written for a 20m x 40m arena. In the U.S. these tests may be offered in either the 20m x 40m or the 20m x 60m arena. * Grade IV tests are written and should be offered in the 20m x 60m arena ONLY. |
